Increase membership and improve quality of marketing materials used for recruitment and at conference.


To supplement in-house marketing staff, CSTA relied on Marketing Action Inc. to arrange qualitative research with existing and previous members. Using the results, we facilitated an association committee through the goal setting and planning process.

For the 2014 conference, Marketing Action enhanced the graphics and wrote the text to create and redesign a variety of materials including membership brochure, booth display, masthead, PowerPoint design, welcome letter, post-it note, bookmark, invitation and program.

For the 2015 conference, Marketing Action developed the promotion plan to attract registrants, wrote social media posts, developed emails, reviewed the program and recommended website enhancements.

With Karen Fraser-Middleton’s help, the California Science Teachers Association (CSTA) now has the professional look that make us proud as an organization to share our materials and participate in out-reach opportunities.
