College of the Sequoias Advanced Manufacturing and Career Technical Education programs needed a way to communicate the business resources available through the college and the success of students participating in the programs and joining the workforce.
Marketing Action produced a newsletter sent to businesses and agency partners to announce training services and other resources that would benefit manufacturers and other employers in California’s Central Valley.
A logo was developed for the Advanced Manufacturing program and the newsletter designed. The branding was extended when the website was created. Marketing Action provided the project management to create a website that met the needs of multiple audiences and made it easy for each type of customer to easily get the right section of the website.
The success of the programs was told though the newsletter, press releases and info graphics, written and created by Marketing Action.

Managed Website Project
She helped create a regional website, including logo and content, to promote manufacturing in the Central Valley. The site was a massive undertaking and she posed the right questions to help me get the end product that I needed. I appreciated that she understood my desire for flexibility in the design that could adapt as the needs of the initiative changed.
Karen helps me think broadly about our marketing efforts and asks good questions to make sure I am considering the entire scope of a project, not just the current effort I am working on.
Karen is a great listener and problem solver. Marketing is about identifying the target audience and their needs. Karen quickly understands the issues and is able to take the “problem” and give specific suggestions on how to tackle it.

She does the work. We have done lots of “good news” stories. Once I give her the general idea of the story and the names and phone numbers of the people involved, she does all of the legwork. It is simple; she comes up with a great story that is formatted in a way that can be placed in a newsletter or sent out as a press release.
Marketing Action is quick, timely and considers your goals. Whether it is a small or large project, she will listen and provide excellent service. Try her out on a small project and you’ll keep coming back because you’ll begin to realize that you should focus on what you are good at and let someone like Karen focus on the marketing.
